About cut and polish

Cut to remove. Polish to refine. Seal to protect.

The cutting stage uses a heavy compound and a firmer pad to level the clear coat and remove the defects: swirl marks from automatic car washes, scratches from dirty wash mitts, oxidation from years in the sun. The finishing stage follows with a fine polish and soft pad to remove any haze left by the cut and restore mirror clarity.

It is a full day of careful work per vehicle and the difference is striking, especially on dark colours where every swirl shows. We tape edges and trims, work panel by panel, and inspect under LED light between stages.
